Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

As Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in optimising warehouse performance, maintaining high standards of organisation and overseeing daily operations to support the company's strategic objectives in the manufacturing, transport and logistics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and manage warehouse staff to ensure efficient daily operations and adherence to company policies and procedures
• Monitor warehouse inventory levels, stock rotation and accuracy through regular audits and system checks
• Oversee receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of goods to meet customer delivery requirements
• Maintain safe working conditions by implementing and enforcing health and safety regulations and best practices
• Train, mentor and develop warehouse team members, fostering a positive and productive working environment
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs
• Manage warehouse documentation, including picking lists, delivery notes and inventory reports
• Liaise with other departments including logistics, sales and procurement to ensure seamless operations
• Conduct regular performance reviews and manage discipline as required
• Maintain warehouse equipment and coordinate maintenance schedules to ensure optimal functionality

What we're looking for

• 3-5 years of warehouse or logistics operations experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role
• Proven ability to manage, motivate and develop team members effectively
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and warehouse best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively
• Physical capability to perform warehouse tasks when required
