Ranon Logistics Network is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor – Fulfillment Operations to lead the day-to-day execution of warehouse and fulfillment activities.
This is a working supervisor role. The successful candidate will direct warehouse employees, organize daily work, oversee product placement and storage, maintain an orderly warehouse, and ensure receiving, put-away, picking, packing, staging, and outbound activities are completed accurately and on time.
The Warehouse Supervisor will work closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager, who oversees broader operational requirements and client communication. This role is focused primarily on floor execution and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse associates.
- Assign work based on daily priorities, inbound receipts, fulfillment requirements, and outbound schedules.
- Determine and maintain appropriate locations for inventory, pallets, products, and customer goods within the warehouse.
- Ensure products are properly stacked, labeled, stored, and accessible.
- Maintain an organized warehouse layout and ensure designated storage locations are being followed.
- Oversee receiving, unloading, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, staging, and outbound activities.
- Ensure incoming products are counted, inspected, identified, and placed in the correct location.
- Verify outbound orders and shipments are staged correctly and ready for pickup or loading.
- Supervise loading and unloading activities and ensure products are handled safely.
- Direct temporary labor, warehouse associates, forklift operators, and other floor personnel as needed.
- Monitor employee productivity and ensure assigned work is completed accurately and within expected timeframes.
- Work alongside the team when necessary to complete operational requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the warehouse.
- Identify damaged, misplaced, unidentified, or incorrectly stored inventory and ensure issues are corrected.
- Conduct or support cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
- Ensure warehouse procedures and standard operating processes are followed consistently.
- Communicate inventory discrepancies, staffing issues, operational delays, damages, and other exceptions to the Warehouse Operations Manager.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Operations Manager regarding daily priorities, customer requirements, inbound activity, and outbound deadlines.
- Help train new warehouse employees and reinforce proper work methods and safety procedures.
- Monitor use of warehouse equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Help continuously improve warehouse organization, storage utilization, and workflow.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience supervising or leading warehouse or fulfillment employees.
- Strong understanding of warehouse receiving, storage, put-away, picking, packing, staging, and outbound processes.
- Experience organizing warehouse space and determining appropriate product and pallet placement.
- Ability to direct a team and hold employees accountable while also working alongside them when necessary.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple operational demands throughout the day.
- Experience with inventory management and warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Experience operating or supervising forklift operations is preferred.
- Ability to identify operational problems and resolve day-to-day floor issues quickly.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate clearly with warehouse employees and management.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work on the warehouse floor for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical warehouse activities throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely lift and move products as required by the operation.
- Ability to work around forklifts, pallets, trucks, loading docks, and other warehouse equipment.
The Person Who Will Do Well in This Role
You are someone who naturally keeps a warehouse organized and knows what should be happening on the floor without waiting to be told every step.
You notice when pallets are in the wrong place, when an area is becoming disorganized, when employees are falling behind, or when a shipment is not staged correctly. You are comfortable giving direction, following up, and making sure work is completed properly.
This is not primarily an office or customer-facing position. It is a hands-on warehouse leadership role responsible for making sure the daily operation runs correctly.
