Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

Oversees the daily operations of the cold chain and dry warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role ensures adherence to safety and quality standards to maintain the integrity of perishable and non-perishable products. Key responsibilities include managing warehouse staff, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring compliance with operational and safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring timely and efficient handling of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Ensure proper storage conditions for temperature-sensitive products, including refrigeration and freezer environments.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate product tracking.
• Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of refrigeration and other warehouse equipment.
• Manage a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and monitor progress.
• Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork.
• Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including receipts, storage, and dispatch.
• Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, order status, and operational performance.
• Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the warehouse and surrounding areas.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in cold chain logistics is highly desirable.
• Forklift Operator Certification (preferred).
• Pallet Jack Certification (preferred).
• Physically fit, capable of lifting up to 25 kg.
• Ability to work in cold storage environments, including refrigeration and freezer areas.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
