Job Purpose

We are looking for Warehouse Supervisors who will be responsible for initiating, coordinating and controlling all daily warehouse activities. The role ensures smooth execution of receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch operations while maintaining inventory accuracy, safety, compliance, and productivity. The Supervisor acts as the first line of control and decision-making on the warehouse floor.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Warehouse Execution (Initiation Role)

Initiate and organize daily warehouse activities based on priorities.

Allocate manpower, equipment, and space before operations start.

Assign tasks and clearly brief warehouse staff at shift start.

Ensure daily targets for receiving, picking, packing, and dispatch are met.

Act immediately on delays, shortages, damages, or operational issues.

2. Receiving & Put-Away Control

Initiate and supervise receiving of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.

Verify quantities, condition, batch/lot numbers, and documentation.

Ensure proper labeling, identification, and system posting.

Direct correct put-away according to FIFO / FEFO and storage rules.

3. Picking, Packing & Dispatch

Initiate picking plans based on delivery schedules and production needs.

Ensure picking accuracy, correct batch selection, and order completeness.

Supervise packing standards, labeling, and dispatch documentation.

Coordinate loading and dispatch timing with logistics and transport teams.

4. Inventory Control & Accuracy

Initiate daily stock checks and system validations.

Conduct and lead cycle counts and stock verification activities.

Identify, report, and explain stock variances immediately.

Control damaged, rejected, expired, and quarantined stock.

5. Team Supervision & Discipline

Directly supervise storekeepers, warehouse operators, helpers, and forklift drivers.

Monitor attendance, punctuality, productivity, and behavior.

Enforce SOPs, discipline, and company rules on the warehouse floor.

Train staff on correct handling, storage, etc.

6. Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping

Initiate daily safety checks and enforce PPE usage.

Ensure safe handling of materials, chemicals, and flammable items.

Maintain MSDS availability and correct storage segregation.

Drive housekeeping standards (5S) and clean, organized warehouse areas.

Report and investigate incidents, near misses, or unsafe acts.

7. Systems & Documentation

Ensure all warehouse transactions are initiated and recorded correctly in ERP/WMS.

Verify accuracy of GRNs, delivery notes, pick lists, and transfer documents.

Maintain complete, traceable, and audit-ready documentation.

Report system or process gaps to Warehouse Head with solutions.

8. Issue Resolution & Escalation

Act as the first escalation point for operational issues.

Resolve daily problems independently where authority allows.

Escalate critical risks (stock, safety, service) with facts and action plan.

Prevent repeat issues through corrective actions.

9. Reporting & Communication

Prepare daily warehouse activity and exception reports.

Communicate progress, delays, and risks proactively.

Support Warehouse Head with data, insights, and improvement ideas.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.

2. 3–6 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.

3. Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, cosmetics, or perfume industry preferred.

4. Working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems.

5. Forklift & warehouse safety knowledge required.
