About Us
We are a growing, fast-paced clothing retail business operating multiple retail outlets across KZN & the Eastern Cape. We pride ourselves on delivering the latest fashion trends to our customers quickly and efficiently. To support our expanding store network, we are looking for a practical, organized, and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our central distribution hub.
Role Overview
As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the daily flow of fashion apparel and accessories. You will manage the entire lifecycle of our inventory—from receiving bulk garments from suppliers to picking, packing, and dispatching stock allocations accurately to all 15 retail outlets. This is a "roll-up-your-sleeves" role that requires strong stock control and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Inbound Stock Oversight: Personally oversee the process of receiving all incoming stock from suppliers. Ensure accurate box counts, verify packing slips against purchase orders, check garment quality, and resolve shortages or damages immediately.
- Building Maintenance: Manage general upkeep, repairs, and preventative maintenance for the warehouse building (e.g., lighting, security systems, roller shutter doors, plumbing, and racking infrastructure).
- Vehicle Fleet Maintenance: Oversee the scheduling, servicing, licensing, and routine maintenance of company delivery vehicles to ensure zero downtime for store dispatches.
- Inter-Branch Dispatches: Coordinate the accurate picking, packing, and distribution of weekly allocations to our 15 retail stores.
- Stock & Inventory Control: Maintain high stock accuracy through daily cycle counts, systematic bin allocation, and regular stock-takes.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a small warehouse team of pickers, packers, handlers, and drivers.
- Housekeeping & Safety: Enforce strict organization, cleanliness, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards to protect textile stock and personnel.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric certificate minimum. A qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus but not essential.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of warehouse experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in clothing retail or a textile distribution environment is highly advantageous (understanding SKUs, sizes, colors, and garment handling).
- Tech Skills: Proficient with basic computer software (MS Office)
- Valid Drivers Licence is required.
- Attributes: Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and a practical problem-solving mindset.
What We Offer
- Market-related salary based on experience.
- Stable working environment in a growing retail business.
- Employee discount on clothing lines.
Pay: Up to R120 000,00 per year
Education:
- High School (matric) (Required)
License/Certification:
- Drivers License (Required)
Location:
- Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal (Required)
Willingness to travel:
- 25% (Required)
Work Location: In person
