  • Reinforce expectations around productivity, urgency, quality and attention to detail.
  • Ensure products are handled carefully and established procedures are followed to minimize damage.
  • Maintain and reinforce workplace health and safety standards, including required PPE and safe work practices.
  • Coach employees in real time and address performance or conduct concerns as they arise.
  • Support Team Leads and ensure they have clear direction and are effectively managing their areas.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new warehouse employees.
  • Monitor attendance, break coverage, staffing levels and day-to-day deployment of employees.
  • Escalate recurring performance, safety or operational concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Work collaboratively with Operations, and Supply Chain to support staffing, performance and operational requirements.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, productivity and overall team effectiveness.
  • Lead by example and contribute to a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Lead or similar frontline leadership role.
  • Strong people-leadership skills with the ability to coach, redirect and hold employees accountable.
  • Comfortable spending the majority of the day actively supervising on the warehouse floor.
  • Strong sense of urgency with close attention to quality and detail.
  • Able to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with receiving, picking, packing, shipping and general warehouse operations.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse health and safety practices.
  • Forklift experience or certification is an asset.
  • Experience in a growing or high-volume distribution environment is an asset.
