Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

Verspil Agua Chemicals Trading is seeking an experienced and driven Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse facility. As Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient storage, handling, and distribution of chemical products whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. This role is integral to our supply chain operations and directly impacts our ability to serve our customers effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management to ensure optimal productivity and team morale
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of chemical products, ensuring accurate inventory records and proper stock rotation
• Monitor and maintain warehouse safety standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
• Conduct regular quality checks on stored products to ensure they meet required standards and identify any damage or deterioration
• Coordinate with logistics and delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
• Manage warehouse resources, including equipment maintenance, supplies ordering, and cost control initiatives
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on warehouse operations, including inventory levels, staff performance, and incident reporting
• Implement and enforce proper handling procedures for chemical products in accordance with regulatory requirements and company protocols
• Identify operational inefficiencies and propose solutions to improve warehouse performance and productivity
• Liaise with management, procurement, and customer service teams to address operational challenges and opportunities

What we're looking for

• Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role within manufacturing, logistics, or chemical distribution environments
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and best practices, including inventory control and stock management
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members effectively, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations, including relevant chemical handling and storage requirements
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and make decisions under pressure
• Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Physical capability to carry out warehouse duties when required, including lifting and movement of products
• Relevant certifications or training in warehouse management, health and safety, or team leadership (desirable)
• Knowledge of chemical product handling, storage regulations, and safety protocols (preferred)
