Position Summary

Floral Supply Syndicate is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our main Camarillo warehouse and supervise a team of approximately 8–12 warehouse employees.

This position is responsible for maintaining an organized and productive warehouse floor, overseeing shipping and receiving, maintaining inventory accuracy and organization, enforcing safety and workplace expectations, and ensuring daily priorities are completed on time.

This is a working supervisor position. The supervisor is expected to effectively direct the team while assisting with warehouse work when operational needs require it, particularly during receiving, high-volume periods, and container deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse workflow by assigning priorities, delegating work, monitoring productivity, and ensuring work is completed within expected timeframes.
• Supervise warehouse employees, including attendance, punctuality, rest and meal periods, performance coaching, and documentation of performance or conduct concerns.
• Oversee store order fulfillment, including timely page/order pulling, accurate packing, shipment organization, pallet preparation, and completion of daily outbound shipments.
• Coordinate receiving activities, including truck and container unloading, quantity verification, review of damaged merchandise, product put-away, and communication of receiving discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, discrepancy research, product-location management, and proper labeling and homing of new merchandise.
• Maintain warehouse organization and scheduled housekeeping standards and oversee floor resets, including annual catalog changes and placement of new merchandise.
• Enforce warehouse safety procedures, including forklift practices, safe pallet loading, required safety equipment, and maintaining safe and clear work areas.
• Communicate staffing shortages, workflow delays, inventory issues, receiving concerns, and safety issues promptly to Operations Management.
• Assist with the evaluation of temporary warehouse employees and provide management with feedback regarding performance and continued placement.
• Assist directly with pulling orders, receiving, unloading, pallet wrapping, and other warehouse duties when needed to maintain workflow.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or similar experience.
• At least 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated ability to organize workflow, delegate work, coach employees, and maintain accountability.
• Basic computer and email skills and the ability to learn company inventory and order-processing systems.
• Ability to reliably report to the Camarillo worksite for scheduled shifts, including occasional Saturdays as required.
• Comfortable working in warehouse conditions, including periods of heat during container receiving.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive lifting as required by the position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience or certification; training may be provided.
• Experience with inventory cycle counts, shipping/receiving, or fulfillment supporting multiple locations.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Approximately 40 hours per week
• Additional hours and occasional Saturdays may be required based on seasonal and operational needs
