Warehouse Supervisor

The job:

• Oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, cycle counts, and stock takes in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
• Perform manpower allocation, overtime arrangements, and daily staff deployment to meet operational requirements.
• Attend daily production meetings and liaise with production, purchasing, planning, laboratory, logistics, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth end-to-end operations.
• Supervise and monitor the team to ensure adherence to system controls, operational procedures, and 5S housekeeping standards.
• Manage the daily receipt and issuance of empty drums to the filling line through the automated empty drum storage system.
• Manage the daily receipt and issuance of packed additives, labels, and empty packaging materials to support filling operations.
• Manage the daily receipt and issuance of packed finished goods for container stuffing, transfer to external warehouses, or customer delivery.
• Perform SAP and WMS transactions in accordance with inventory management policies and procedures.
• Plan and coordinate weekly cycle counts and ensure the timely submission of reconciliation reports.
• Provide the team with appropriate support, training, and clear communication to facilitate effective operations.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team on equipment and process troubleshooting, maintenance activities, and project execution in compliance with PTW requirements.
• Participate in and support operational excellence, lean management, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review and update related work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure they remain current and accessible.
• Monitor and approve team attendance records and leave applications within the system.
• Oversee the disposal of production waste and the resale of used drums and cartons.
• Manage the reverse logistics of empty pallets from third-party warehouses.
• Conduct staff appraisals and provide mentoring, coaching, and guidance to support individual development and the achievement of organizational goals.
• Identify learning and development opportunities to address the competency needs of team members and contractors.
• Supervise the team to ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements and guidelines throughout warehouse operations.
• Maintain, review, and update the management systems and documentation associated with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949.
• Conduct preliminary investigations into customer complaints, non-conforming products, resampling issues, process deviations, and HSE incidents, where applicable.

Qualification/Experience required:

• Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment, specifically in a supervisory role
• Proficiency in SAP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and general computer literacy is required
• Knowledge of Lean Management will be an advantage
• Strong supervisory skills and a proven track record as an effective team leader
• Willing to work in Tuas area
• Willing to work on a rotating shift schedule: Morning Shift 7.45am to 4.30pm; Afternoon Shift 4.15pm to 12.30am
