Warehouse Supervisor

ABOUT THE JOB

This role is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including inbound/outbound activities, inventory management, stock control, and team supervision.

The role ensures operational efficiency, stock accuracy, proper documentation of stock movements, and compliance with safety standards.

We are looking for a hands-on and proactive individual who can manage daily warehouse operations, identify problems, improve warehouse procedures, and take initiative in maintaining an organised and efficient warehouse.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Oversee daily warehouse operations, including opening and closing activities.

2. Supervise warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow, productivity, and operational efficiency.

3. Oversee receiving, unloading, checking, and proper storage of incoming goods.

4. Ensure accurate stock processing, including picking, checking, packing, dispatching, and handling of customer returns.

5. Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure proper stock labelling, storage arrangements, and FIFO/FEFO practices.

6. Ensure all incoming, outgoing, transferred, and returned goods are properly checked, documented, and recorded in the inventory system.

7. Conduct regular stock counts and stock-taking activities to ensure physical stock matches system records.

8. Investigate stock discrepancies, damages, and operational issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring problems.

9. Assist in developing, implementing, and improving warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure proper stock handling and inventory control.

10. Plan and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including manpower arrangements with the Logistics Manager to support warehouse and delivery operations.

11. Maintain proper documentation for receiving, deliveries, stock transfers, stock counts, and inventory discrepancies.

12. Identify operational problems and proactively suggest improvements to warehouse processes, stock control, and overall efficiency.

13. Ensure warehouse cleanliness, safety standards, and proper use of warehouse equipment.

14. Support staff training, performance monitoring, and ensure warehouse procedures are properly followed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

* Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in any field. Qualifications related to Logistics or Warehousing are an added advantage.

* Minimum 3 years of working experience in warehouse operations, including at least 1 year of experience in supervising or leading a warehouse team.

* Good knowledge of inventory control, stock management, stock-taking, and warehouse procedures.

* Able to supervise warehouse staff, plan daily activities, and work independently.

* Good leadership, organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.

* Responsible, hands-on, proactive, and willing to take initiative to improve warehouse operations.

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel for inventory records and reporting.

* Experience using AutoCount or other inventory management systems is an added advantage.

* Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and basic English.

* Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle daily operational challenges.

* Ability to drive a lorry with a valid GDL and appropriate driving licence (e.g. Class E, where applicable) is an added advantage.

Pay: From RM3,200.00 per month
