Warehouse Supervisor

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, manage a team of staff, and ensure efficient distribution processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of warehouse management systems, and excellent communication abilities. This role involves coordinating inventory management, supervising order fulfillment, and implementing process improvements to optimize productivity within a fast-paced environment. The Warehouse Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining safety standards, streamlining supply chain activities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.
• Lead and manage warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to foster a productive team environment.
• Oversee inventory accuracy using ERP systems such as SAP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ensuring proper stock levels and data integrity.
• Utilize computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data analysis, and process documentation.
• Manage supply chain operations including purchasing, vendor relations and logistics coordination to meet delivery deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.
• Implement process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall warehouse performance.
• Oversee forklift operations ensuring proper handling of heavy lifting tasks while maintaining safety standards.
• Coordinate with customer service teams to resolve issues related to order fulfillment or shipment discrepancies.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse productivity and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Experience

• Proven experience supervising warehouse or distribution center operations with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Extensive knowledge of supply chain processes including purchasing, order processing, packaging, and e-commerce logistics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel for data analysis, Word for documentation, PowerPoint for presentations) along with Windows operating systems.
• Experience operating forklifts and managing heavy lifting tasks safely within a warehouse environment.
• Background in manufacturing or 3PL logistics is advantageous; familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in French enhances team collaboration across diverse groups.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through supervising experience and leadership training programs.

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
