Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations within a dynamic distribution environment. This role is essential in ensuring efficient inventory management, safe handling of materials, and streamlined logistics processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will lead a team dedicated to maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity while supporting continuous process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage and coordinate the use of warehouse equipment such as forklifts and other material handling machinery in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
• Oversee inventory management systems and ensure accurate tracking using RF scanners, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and AS400 platforms.
• Lead team management efforts by providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to warehouse staff.
• Implement process improvements using lean management principles to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
• Coordinate logistics activities related to distribution center operations, including shipping schedules and receiving procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and receipts through regular audits and inventory control practices.
• Facilitate communication across departments regarding warehouse operations, shipping & receiving schedules, and inventory updates.
• Support the onboarding of new team members and foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Skills

• Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, operations, or logistics management.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems, WMS, RF scanners, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as lean management.
• Skilled in the operation of material handling equipment including forklifts.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively with managerial communication skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for heavy lifting and materials handling.
• Experience with shipping & receiving procedures within distribution centers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
• Proven track record in warehouse supervisor roles with strong leadership capabilities.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems like AS400 or similar platforms is highly desirable.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
