Warehouse Supervisor (Cold Storage)

The Emperor Penguin Ice Cold Storage is looking for Warehouse Supervisor!

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the end-to-end management of cold storage warehouse operations and inventory control for meat products. This is a combined role suited for a hands-on leader who can maintain strict food safety standards while ensuring accurate stock records and efficient facility operations during our ramp-up phase.

Warehouse Operations

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and dispatch of meat products within cold storage facilities

• Ensure proper cold chain integrity is maintained at all times; monitor and record temperature logs for freezers and chillers

• Supervise the correct loading and unloading of meat products, ensuring proper handling to prevent contamination or damage

• Manage designated storage zones and ensure efficient space utilization, product segregation, and labeling

• Ensure all warehouse areas are clean, organized, and compliant with food safety and sanitation requirements

• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with transport teams and third-party haulers

• Enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and cold storage safety protocols among all warehouse staff

• Conduct regular facility inspections and report maintenance issues promptly

Inventory Management & Control

• Maintain accurate inventory records for all meat products in the facility, including SKU-level stock counts
• Implement and enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) rotation protocols at all times
• Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventory audits; investigate and reconcile discrepancies
• Monitor stock levels and flag potential shortfalls, surpluses, or near-expiry items to management
• Process inventory transactions accurately in the warehouse management system (WMS) or inventory platform
• Coordinate with procurement and sales teams on stock movement, incoming deliveries, and order fulfillment
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports including stock aging, movement summaries, and variance analysis

Team & Compliance

• Lead, train, and supervise warehouse personnel on cold storage handling, food safety, and inventory procedures
• Ensure compliance with NMIS (National Meat Inspection Service) and BFAR (Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources) regulations, and company policies
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining complete and accurate documentation
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste or loss

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management, preferably in food or cold chain environments
• Strong knowledge of FIFO/FEFO principles and cold chain management for perishable goods
• Proficient in inventory management systems; hands-on experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is an advantage
• Comfortable adopting new technology and digital tools; able to learn and navigate systems quickly during facility setup and onboarding
• Knowledgeable in food safety regulations (HACCP, GHP, GMP) and relevant government standards
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; able to manage a small team effectively
• Willing to work in cold storage environments (0°C to -18°C)

Work Conditions

• Work environment: Cold storage facility; exposure to temperatures between 0°C and -18°C
• May require extended hours during peak receiving or dispatch periods
• Required to wear PPE including thermal gear, gloves, and safety footwear
