Warehouse Team Leader

About the role

This is a Team Leader role responsible for monitoring warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safety and tidiness standards, and managing picker discipline and performance across assigned racks and feeding platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all feeding platforms assigned per rack and discipline pickers to ensure tidiness is maintained to help reduce SDR
• Ensure all aisles and racks are free of garbage or left items on the floor
• Ensure empty steel crates are immediately placed back in each level by forklift operators and call attention if not followed
• Ensure all steel crate checklists are filled up accordingly with correct data and submitted timely to packing team leaders
• Ensure tidiness and electricity saving compliance by the team, raising non-compliance immediately for disciplinary measures
• Check daily output records as part of monitoring and compliance, understanding root causes of issues and solving them as soon as possible
• Report any disruptions in racking and ensure availability of headlamps in each rack for emergency cases
• Monitor overall collection activity on racking, including checking of improvised tables, hiding places, and pull out of damaged items to be endorsed to Supervisor
• Report all mismatch items as soon as possible to QM team and coordinate with other Team Leaders to aid in location checks
• Report any concerns encountered in racks immediately to leaders with suggested solutions and action taken

About you

• Undergraduate of college, vocational course or any equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years experience in related field
• Good communication skills
• Can work under pressure
• Can work with flexible working hours and fast-paced environment
• Organized with good planning skills and able to meet targets and deadlines
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Leadership skills that motivate and inspire members
• Problem solver who can identify and analyze warehouse operational issues
• Proficiency in using spreadsheet software (MS Excel, MS Word and Google Sheet)
