Warehouse Team Member

We are a 100% family-owned New Zealand business and are a leading supplier of imported food stuffs in New Zealand and particularly well-known for our comprehensive range of specialty cheeses. Our passion is for food, and our goal is to bring affordable luxury to the table of every New Zealander.

With the rapid growth of our Mt Wellington/Otahuhu Auckland based business, we are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and conscientious Warehouse team member to join our busy and friendly team. You will be reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor.

The Role will involve:

• Picking, packing, and dispatching orders on daily basis with high accuracy.
• Loading goods to the freight company by the end of the day is an everyday job.
• Unloading containers.
• Processing Inward goods.
• Stock takes.
• A good level of physical fitness- able to do some heavy lifting up to 20 kg.
• Filling monthly requisitions and other forms.
• Helping the production team as and when required.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.
• Good understanding of Safe Manual Handling techniques and warehouse health and safety requirements.
• Good understanding of Food Safety and hygiene.
• Other Adhoc warehouse administrative duties.

Skills and Attributes that you will need to be successful in this role:

• Be able to cope in a busy work environment.
• Be willing to work overtime and weekends when required.
• Be willing to stay late to load the goods if the freight company is running late.
• Be fit to work in a Chiller and standing long hours on your feet.
• Be reliable, punctual and possess high level of organizational skills.
• Have good understanding of numeracy and attention to detail.
• Be hard working and an enthusiastic team player who shows initiative.
• Have a proactive approach in high pressure environment.
• Have an energetic personality and enjoy working as part of a team.
• Be eligible to work in New Zealand.
• Hold a current New Zealand driver's license.
• Hold a current Forklift and Reach License with proven skills.
• Understanding of computer systems would be an advantage.
