What they need

From sporting events to concerts, festivals to film, have you ever wondered how the world’s most prestigious live events and productions get powered?

Entering its 25th year, and with recent premises expansion and investment, Power Logistics has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Technician to join its team responsible for ensuring our equipment is prepared and made available to the highest standard for a portfolio of projects that have included Olympic and Commonwealth Games Ceremonies, headline music tours and concerts, British Summertime in Hyde Park, HM The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and many of the UK’s largest festivals and sporting events.

About the role

Working within a team of six you will play an important role in ensuring our stock of temporary electrical cabling, distribution, lighting and associated accessories are prepared, stored, handled and loaded / unloaded in line with company processes and procedures. Primarily based out of our main warehouse in Chippenham you will also be required to, on occasion, work from our additional facility in Calne, at times using company vans to transport equipment between warehouses. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Pick, Prep and de-prep of our equipment in our internal and external working areas.
  • Cleaning and quality checking of equipment in line with company process and procedure ensuring all equipment being returned to stock and dispatched meets the required standard.
  • Safe loading & unloading of internal and external vehicles ranging from vans up to and including articulated trucks.
  • Occasionally driving company vans for internal transfers between our depots, including adhoc deliveries and collections to and from project locations.
  • Use of our rental management system through the use of scanners and tablets to maintain equipment availability.
  • Keeping the warehouse, work areas and vehicles in a presentable and clean condition.
  • Using your skills, knowledge and experience to support colleagues within the business including asset management, operations and engineering teams.
  • Being ‘Wired for safety’ engaging with the company on all matters to do with Health & Safety and keeping the warehouse and work areas safe for colleagues and visitors.

Power Logistics is committed to continual development and all employees are offered the opportunity for further training that will complement their role.
