Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
• Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, tracking using RF scanners, and updating the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping and receiving with precision to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Assist with stocking shelves, organizing storage areas, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Handle materials using mechanical knowledge of packaging techniques and proper handling procedures for heavy lifting.
• Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipments against orders using AS400 or other warehouse management systems.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall efficiency.

Experience

• Prior warehouse experience is highly preferred, especially in roles involving inventory management, order picking & packing, or shipping & receiving.
• Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, or order pickers safely and effectively.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar platforms for inventory tracking.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation.
• Mechanical aptitude or construction background is a plus for understanding equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience in manufacturing or materials handling environments will be advantageous.
• Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during stock replenishment or order fulfillment.
