Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts
• Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organization within the warehouse
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing goods against documentation
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment, including forklifts, to ensure safety and functionality
• Support warehouse management in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace
• Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs when needed

Skills

• Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in materials handling techniques
• Valid forklift certification and experience operating forklifts safely in a busy setting
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems for inventory tracking and order processing
• Mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
• Construction or similar hands-on experience is a plus for understanding structural handling requirements
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members during shipping, receiving, and load/unload activities
