Van Driver / Warehouse Operative – 2 vacancies – Sheffield
£13.62 per hour | 40 hours per week | Permanent | Overtime available

Airbag Disposal UK Ltd is recruiting two Van Driver / Warehouse Operatives to support planned nationwide collections and specialist waste-processing operations across Airbag Disposal UK and Vantage Waste Solutions.

This is not a multi-drop parcel delivery role. The position involves scheduled customer collections, long-distance driving and practical warehouse duties.

Working pattern
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Collection runs start at 6am and are typically planned for 8–10 hours, including breaks. Longer runs may be required. Overnight stays across the UK and Northern Ireland may be required once or twice a week. Accommodation and meal allowances are provided.

Key responsibilities

• Complete planned nationwide customer collections and deliveries in accordance with allocated routes and instructions.
• Carry out pre-use vehicle checks, report defects and complete end-of-day vehicle procedures.
• Load, secure, transport and unload materials safely in accordance with operational procedures.
• Undertake warehouse processing, dismantling and material segregation when not driving.
• Maintain accurate transport documentation and communicate effectively with customers and the transport team.
• Comply with all health, safety, environmental and operational requirements.

Essential requirements

• Full UK Category B driving licence with no more than 3 points.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Previous commercial driving experience and willingness to undertake nationwide runs, early starts and overnight stays.
• Ability to carry out practical warehouse duties and follow safe working procedures.
• Good communication, reliability and accurate record-keeping.

Desirable experience

• Warehouse, logistics or industrial operations experience.
• ADR qualification or forklift training.
• Waste management or recycling experience.

Specialist training is provided, including ADR and forklift training where appropriate.
