Warehouse/Lumber Sales Associate

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Lumber Associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service in a retail environment, assisting customers and contractors with their lumber and building material needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and a commitment to delivering a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating lumber and building materials.
• Provide expert advice on product selection based on customer needs.
• Process transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card processing.
• Answer customer inquiries via phone, e-mail or in-person with professionalism and clarity.
• Utilize basic math skills to assist customers with measurements and calculations.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Stay informed about new products, promotions, and industry trends to provide knowledgeable assistance.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Previous experience in retail sales and building supply experience is preferred.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management.
• Familiarity with lumber products and building materials is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.50 per hour
