Job Title: Sales/Warehouse Associate

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

WAREHOUSE/SALES ASSOCIATE

1. Actively reach out to potential customers for baseboard and flooring sales.

2. Assist in loading and unloading merchandise.

3. Ability to work with a team and make phone calls to potential customers daily.

4. Assist with stocking product on showroom floor & merchandise product.

5. Maintain the warehouse back room. Keep it neat & organized.

6. Assist with creating a sales program that aligns with the business goals.

7. Aggressively drive sales and meet monthly sales goals

8. General knowledge of the home improvement industry

9. Assist customers with product questions

10. Properly document any broken or damaged items and obtain written permission from the store manager to dispose of any items.

11. Answer customer’s questions, help customers locate merchandise, assist to carry large and bulky items upfront, and to customer’s car, in an efficient and timely manner.

12. Ensure all safety issues are addressed & immediately corrected

13. Wear proper safety equipment

14. Other duties assigned by MOD.

15. Backup Cashier as needed.

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

· 1-3 years Retail experience (home improvement sales a PLUS)

· Six months experience in a warehouse setting

· Intermediate Computer knowledge including MS Office Suite

· Basic math skills, use of cash register & calculator

· Good interpersonal skills along with excellent customer service skills & customer service focus

· Sense of community service & helping others

· Ability to work with little supervision & take responsibility for own actions

· Must be bilingual

· Forklift experience required

· Good attendance & punctuality a must

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This job operates in a warehouse environment.

This position is very active and requires use of tools, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and/or balancing all day. The employee must regularly be able to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. Exposure to outside weather conditions on regular basis (hot, humid, rain, and cold) Warehouse is open to outdoor elements.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Schedule requires working on Saturdays and possibly Sundays in the future depending on store needs. Exact schedule varies depending on need.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED
