Are you looking for an exciting and challenging career in construction? Penn-co Construction is seeking a confident, hands-on, and results-driven Warranty Coordinator to join our team in Steinbach, Manitoba.

We offer a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.

Position Overview

The Warranty Coordinator will take an active role in managing day-to-day warranty claims, coordinating subcontractors, investigating deficiencies, and ensuring issues are addressed efficiently.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative, thinks critically, communicates confidently, and is not afraid to hold subcontractors accountable. This position requires someone who follows through, solves problems, and gets results!

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary point of contact between owners, consultants, project teams, and subcontractors following substantial completion.
  • Coordinate warranty claims from initial reporting through repair completion and owner sign-off.
  • Proactively follow up with subcontractors, challenge delays, and hold trades accountable for their schedules and commitments.
  • Investigate reported deficiencies, identify potential causes, and coordinate practical solutions with the appropriate parties.
  • Conduct site visits as required to assess deficiencies, coordinate repairs, and verify completed work.
  • Maintain accurate warranty logs, correspondence, repair documentation, and tracking systems.
  • Identify unresolved issues, potential risks, and significant delays, bringing them to the Warranty Manager's attention when intervention is required.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in commercial, institutional, or industrial construction preferred; hands-on site experience is an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and practical understanding of construction methods and building systems.
  • Persistent, and confident in dealing with subcontractors and resolving difficult situations.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and capable of coordinating multiple priorities independently.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to visit project sites and take a hands-on approach to resolving issues.
