Our client is a well-established food manufacturing business based in Heidelberg West and is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Wash Room Operator to join their team on an ongoing basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for stable weekday work, with the potential to transition into a permanent position after six months for the right candidate.

About the Role

As a Wash Room Operator, you will play a key role in maintaining hygiene and food safety standards within a busy production environment. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash tubs, trays, and production equipment using industrial dishwashers and manual cleaning methods
• Ensure all cleaned items meet strict food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
• Perform repetitive handling and lifting of lightweight tubs and equipment throughout the shift
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the washroom and surrounding work areas
• Manage daily cleaning schedules and workload requirements with minimal supervision
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Report any damaged equipment, maintenance concerns, or hygiene issues to supervisors

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a washroom, cleaning, food manufacturing, warehousing, or similar production environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and food safety standards
• The physical fitness required for repetitive lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods
• A reliable and punctual work ethic
• The ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Good organisational and time management skills
