ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all Northwest Health Care Linen policies and procedures, including bloodborne pathogen protocols, the Exposure Control Plan, personal protective equipment requirements, universal precautions, safety procedures, quality assurance standards, time management procedures, and employee handbook policies.
• Operate the clean conveyor system that transports textiles from the dryers.
• Place clean textiles into appropriate carts or slings for distribution to production.
• Replace carts of clean sheets for the Chicago Quick Pic equipment.
• Unload clean textiles from small dryers and distribute them to production.
• Clean and organize your workstation at the end of each workday using established cleaning procedures. Return miscellaneous linens to their designated locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

SKILLS

• Basic English skills required.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Poses a level of comfort with computers

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment.
• Stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Perform frequent bending, twisting, and repetitive movements.
• Lift and move textiles weighing approximately 5–10 pounds.
• Work around and handle soiled medical linens while following required safety procedures.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
