Waste Management Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct waste audits and assessments for client organisations to identify current waste streams, volumes and disposal methods
• Design and develop customised waste management plans aligned with clients' sustainability goals and regulatory requirements
• Provide expert advice on waste reduction, recycling, composting and alternative waste treatment technologies
• Manage relationships with waste service providers, disposal facilities and recycling partners on behalf of clients
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented waste management programmes and provide recommendations for improvement
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations documenting waste management findings, strategies and outcomes for client stakeholders
• Stay informed of emerging waste management technologies, best practices and changes in environmental legislation
• Support clients with waste management compliance documentation and regulatory submissions
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated sustainability consulting services
• Contribute to the development of company methodologies, tools and resources for waste management projects

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Waste Management or a related field

• Minimum 2-5 years of professional experience in waste management, environmental consulting or a similar role

• Strong knowledge of waste classification, waste streams, and waste treatment and disposal technologies

• Familiarity with Indonesian environmental regulations, waste management standards and sustainability frameworks

• Experience conducting waste audits and developing waste management strategies for organisations

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders

• Professional certification in Environmental Management (such as ISO 14001) or Waste Management is highly desirable

• Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks and metrics is preferred
