Waste Operative

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Waste Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient management of waste collection and disposal operations. This position requires A good level of fitness , physical stamina and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.

10 hours per week. Working hours are 5 hours per day , one of which must be a Friday . Please only apply if you are available to work every Friday plus another day to be agreed. **.**Additional shifts may be available for the right candidate this can be discussed further at interview stage .

Duties

• Drive waste collection van safely and efficiently.
• Collection , loading and unloading of waste materials, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, vehicles, and equipment to promote a safe working environment.
• Report any issues encountered during collections promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational targets effectively.

Qualifications

• A FULL , CLEAN driving licence is ESSENTIAL
• Working outdoors
• Good level of Fitness and Physical stamina essential
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are followed.
• Previous experience in waste management or a similar role would be advantageous but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
