Waste Recycling Operative

Anglian have a great opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our metal recycling and waste recycling teams as a waste recycling operative.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Welcoming customers/ visitors to the main yard and supporting with loading and unloading requirements
• Working in conjunction with the wider team, to maintain standards (signage, cleanliness, presentation and upkeep of the main site and surrounding buildings)
• Supporting with recycling duties including, segregation and picking of selected materials from a moving conveyor to maximise recycling rates;
• General labouring duties within the yard
• Housekeeping to ensure that the facilities are kept clean, tidy, and free of trip hazards;
• Following site and Company health and safety rules and procedures at all times.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

• Ability to work as part of a team, in a fast-paced, busy environment;
• A strong work ethic and punctual;
• Focus and concentration;
• Good communication both written and verbal, to be able to understand and follow instructions and site rules;
• Personal Protective Equipment provided by the Company at all times is worn.
• Safety and environmental awareness, maintain all aspects of Health and Safety pertaining to the relevant work area;
• Knowledge of the waste and metal recycling industries is desirable but not essential; as full training will be given.

• A competitive rate of pay (dependent upon experience, discussed at interview stage)
• 47.5 hours per week contract, Monday-Friday, 06:30 am-5:00pm;- 1 hr break (unpaid)
