Key Responsibilities For The Wastewater Operator - 1 The Wastewater Operator will support customers and the organization in operating industrial wastewater treatment systems. The Wastewater Operator plays a vital role in the facility's day-to-day operations and preventive maintenance. In addition to job-related tasks as assigned by management, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Collect wastewater samples for process monitoring and compliance requirements
• Operate equipment, read gauges, meters, and record data
• Perform fundamental basic laboratory tasks
• Assist with maintenance, repairs, and tasks as needed
• Effectively utilize the MaintainX Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for task management
• Safely handle chemicals and adjust dosing per supervisor direction
• Conduct daily walkthroughs of the facility, complete documentation, complete checklists, and escalate concerns as needed
• Utilize the SCADA system and make fundamental adjustments
• Participate in On-Call rotations after hours and on weekends with support from management as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Travel Expectations: Travel is not anticipated, but may be required periodically

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to respond within 30 minutes when on call
• Valid driver’s license
• Good problem-solving, communication, and troubleshooting skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in wastewater
• Previous experience in maintaining industrial equipment
• Previous experience operating skid steer and forklift
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
• Hands-on experience with blowers, pumps, motors, and actuated valves, among others
• Ability to obtain Operator Certifications as specified by the local state requirements
