Water/Wastewater Engineering Project Manager

Location: Austin, Texas

Salary: $115,000-$145,000, DOE

The Opportunity

An established, employee-owned environmental and infrastructure consulting firm is looking for a Project Manager to lead municipal water/wastewater engineering projects in Austin, Texas.

This role offers the opportunity to manage complex infrastructure projects, develop client relationships, mentor engineering teams and contribute to the continued growth of the regional water/wastewater practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead municipal water/wastewater projects, managing scope, schedules, budgets and technical delivery.
• Build relationships with municipal clients, utility districts and other key stakeholders.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
• Manage project financials, forecasting, profitability and invoicing.
• Mentor junior engineers and support the development of project teams.
• Contribute to business development, proposals and opportunities for repeat business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or related Engineering.
• Texas P.E. licence, or ability to obtain within three months.
• 7+ years of engineering or infrastructure experience, including at least 3 years in project management.
• Experience delivering municipal water/wastewater projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong financial management, client relationship and communication skills.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities and support business growth.
