What they need

Your Job

Molex is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Technician to ensure the stable and compliant operation of wastewater treatment, pure water, soft water, and air pollution control systems at the Taiwan CFPA site. This role supports environmental compliance through routine monitoring, preventive maintenance, timely troubleshooting, accurate recordkeeping, and coordination with Production, EHS, and qualified vendors. The assigned working hours are 20:00-05:00.

Our Team

You will join the EHS team and report to the EHS supervisor. You will work closely with Production teams, including PTH, DES, and Brown Oxide, as well as Facilities and external vendors, to manage wastewater discharge, waste collection, chemical supply, equipment maintenance, and abnormal operating conditions.

What You Will Do

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment systems to ensure stable and compliant performance.
  • Record operating parameters, inspect process conditions, maintain pH meters, and replace consumables according to established schedules.
  • Operate sludge dewatering or filter press equipment and coordinate waste collection with Production and qualified waste vendors.
  • Operate and maintain pure water and soft water systems, including RO filters, sand tanks, activated carbon tanks, resin tanks, pumps, valves, and pipelines.
  • Operate and maintain air pollution control equipment, including routine parameter recording, water replacement, and pH meter maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot system abnormalities, support root-cause analysis, perform basic equipment maintenance, and coordinate specialized repairs with qualified personnel or vendors.
  • Immediately notify the EHS Engineer and affected Production team when an abnormal condition may create an environmental compliance risk. Initiate or recommend production suspension in accordance with established emergency procedures and authorization requirements until the condition is resolved.
  • Complete shift handover and maintain accurate operating, inspection, chemical-use, maintenance, and waste-disposal records.
  • Follow applicable EHS procedures and emergency response requirements for chemical spills, overflow, abnormal pH, equipment failure, and utility interruption.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Senior high school diploma or above.
  • At least one year of hands-on experience in wastewater treatment system operation or maintenance.
  • Valid Class A Wastewater Treatment Specialist Certificate. Must be eligible and willing to be officially designated as the responsible wastewater treatment specialist and perform legally required duties in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, pipelines, pH meters, and water treatment equipment.
  • Ability to independently monitor operating conditions, maintain accurate records, respond to abnormalities, and communicate effectively across shifts and functions.
  • Ability to work the assigned night shift from 20:00 to 05:00.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Diploma or degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of experience in wastewater treatment system operation and maintenance.
  • Class B or higher Air Pollution Control Specialist Certificate, or a relevant waste management certificate.
