Watchmaker

About the role

Working from our new Adelaide CBD service centre, you will be responsible for the servicing, repair and maintenance of a wide range of high-end Swiss watches.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnosing, servicing and repairing mechanical watches
• Complete movement overhauls, including disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, reassembly and regulation
• Assessing watches and preparing accurate repair quotations
• Identifying and ordering parts required for repairs and servicing
• Managing parts orders and maintaining accurate repair records
• Testing and adjusting watches to ensure they meet appropriate performance standards
• Working with high-end Swiss movements, including automatic, manual-wind and complicated watches
• Using workshop and service management computer systems to manage repairs, quotations, parts and job progress
• Maintaining a consistently high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
• Working closely with our broader service and retail team

About you

• A minimum of 5 years' professional watchmaking experience
• Formal watchmaking qualifications or recognised industry training
• Strong experience servicing and repairing high-end Swiss watches
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical movements
• Experience using professional watchmaking tools, testing equipment and workshop machinery
• Experience preparing repair quotations and identifying and ordering replacement parts
• Good computer skills and confidence using service, inventory and general business software
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Good organisational and time-management skills
