Water Connections Gang / Developer Services Operative

Cascade Water Services Ltd is looking for experienced water industry operatives to join our growing Developer Services and Water Connections team.

We are looking for either an established 2-man connections gang or experienced individual operatives/gangers who have a strong background in water connections, mains laying and developer services works.

This is a hands-on site-based role working across a mixture of residential, commercial and developer projects, including new service connections, mains installations, alterations and associated water infrastructure works.

The Role

Typical works will include:

• New water service connections
• Connections onto live water mains
• Installing boundary boxes and meters
• Developer Services works
• New mains and service pipe installations
• MDPE and barrier pipe installations
• Mains laying and alterations
• Excavation and reinstatement
• Impact moling / trenchless installation
• Working within highways, footways and private sites
• Working from water company drawings and connection details
• Completing site paperwork, photographs and job records
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and customer service

You will be working on projects across London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex and surrounding areas.

Experience Required

Applicants should ideally have previous experience working within the water industry, particularly:

• Water mains and service connections
• Developer Services
• Live water main connections
• MDPE pipe installation
• Boundary boxes and meters
• Excavation around existing utilities
• Streetworks / highway environments
• Reading utility plans and water company drawings

We are particularly interested in people who have previously worked for or alongside water companies, SLPs, utilities contractors or Developer Services teams.

Qualifications

Ideally applicants will hold:

• NCO Water Network Construction Operations Level 2
• NRSWA / Streetworks
• EUSR National Water Hygiene
• EUSR SHEA Water
• CAT & Genny
• Mini Excavator
• Manual Handling
• First Aid

Do not be put off if you do not currently hold every qualification. For the right experienced candidate, additional training can be provided.
