Water Mitigation Technician

Duties

• Respond promptly to emergency calls involving water damage, flooding, fire restoration, and mold remediation.
• Perform water extraction, drying, cleaning, and debris removal using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
• Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly to transport personnel and equipment to job sites.
• Apply industry-standard safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection.
• Conduct thorough assessments of affected areas to determine the extent of damage and develop effective mitigation plans.
• Utilize Xactimate software for accurate documentation of damages and restoration estimates.
• Assist with construction-related tasks such as demolition or minor repairs when necessary.
• Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the process to ensure satisfaction and understanding of procedures.

Requirements

• Prior experience in restoration industry work such as flood or water damage restoration, fire or mold remediation is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use and respiratory protection standards.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and other restoration machinery effectively.
• Construction experience or familiarity with building materials is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Willingness to be on-call for emergency response coverage at irregular hours.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely.
• Knowledge of Xactimate software is advantageous but not mandatory; training provided if needed.
