WATER SYSTEM ENGINEER

About the role

DLB BATAAN WATER CORP. is seeking a Water System Engineer to join our engineering team on a full-time basis in Baras Rizal. This is a pivotal role within our organisation, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining water supply systems that serve our communities. As a Water System Engineer, you will play a critical part in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our water infrastructure whilst supporting the company's mission to deliver quality water services to our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop water supply systems, including intake structures, treatment facilities, storage tanks, and distribution networks
• Conduct hydraulic modelling and analysis to optimise water flow, pressure management, and system efficiency
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities for water infrastructure projects
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of water system components, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations
• Perform regular system inspections and maintenance assessments to identify potential issues and recommend improvements
• Troubleshoot operational problems and develop solutions to enhance system performance and reliability
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Monitor water quality parameters and ensure systems meet environmental and health standards
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system designs, modifications, and maintenance activities
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in water engineering

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Professional Engineering licence or certification in water engineering or civil engineering
• Minimum of 3 years' experience designing and managing water supply systems
• Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, distribution systems, and hydraulic principles
• Proficiency in CAD software and hydraulic modelling tools (such as EPANET or similar)
• Experience with water quality monitoring and compliance with environmental regulations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with project management principles and construction supervision
• Knowledge of water utility operations and maintenance protocols
• Preferred: Experience with renewable energy integration in water systems or smart water technologies
