I'm currently recruiting for a Waste Water Operator to join a Wastewater Treatment Plant in Victorville, CA.

I'm looking for someone with a strong Waste Water background who has experience working in Wastewater Treatment Plants and similar environments.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting the day to day operation of wastewater treatment systems and plant equipment
• Carrying out routine checks and inspections across the treatment facility
• Performing planned and reactive maintenance on pumps, motors, valves and associated equipment
• Identifying and troubleshooting mechanical and process related issues
• Monitoring plant performance through control and monitoring systems
• Making operational adjustments to help maintain effective treatment processes
• Responding to equipment alarms, faults and changing plant conditions
• Taking water and wastewater samples and completing basic testing
• Recording plant readings, maintenance activity and operational information
• Assisting with equipment repairs, servicing and general plant maintenance
• Working safely around chemicals, treatment equipment and industrial systems
• Helping maintain reliable plant performance and environmental compliance

Equipment you'll be working with:

• Industrial pumps and electric motors
• Mechanical and electrical plant equipment
• Pipework, valves and flow control components
• Air handling and process aeration equipment
• Water filtration and treatment systems
• Chemical handling and dosing equipment
• Tanks, basins and associated process equipment
• Electrical control panels and motor controls
• Automated plant monitoring and control systems
• Process instrumentation, meters and sensors
• Testing and sampling equipment
• General tools and equipment used for plant maintenance

What I'm looking for:

• Grade 3 Waste Water License
• Previous experience working in wastewater, water treatment, utilities or a similar industrial environment
• A good mechanical aptitude with hands-on maintenance experience
• Comfortable troubleshooting pumps, motors and general plant equipment
• Experience carrying out routine inspections and basic equipment maintenance
• Ability to follow operating procedures and complete accurate records
• Willingness to work around treatment chemicals, machinery and outdoor plant areas
• Flexibility to work different shifts when required
• Relevant wastewater or water treatment certifications/licenses are beneficial but not essential

Experience within water treatment, utilities, manufacturing, industrial processing, plant operations or other similar industrial environments will also be considered.
