Water Truck Driver

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Operate water trucks for dust suppression on access roads, reclaimed islands, and active construction
areas.

2. Perform scheduled water spraying to control dust and maintain site safety and environmental compliance.

3. Fetch, haul, and deliver fresh water from designated sources for site use, including potable and non- potable applications as assigned.

4. Water plants, landscaped areas, nursery zones, and green buffer areas to support site greening and

environmental programs.

5. Fill water tanks of other vehicles, equipment, and site facilities as needed.

6. Record daily fuel consumption, water usage, and equipment utilization hours.

7. Conduct basic daily inspections of the truck and spraying system; report defects, leaks, or safety concerns.

8. Ensure safe driving practices within the site, including compliance with traffic rules, SIMOPS protocols,

and safety procedures.

9. Coordinate with site engineers, safety officers, environmental staff, and equipment dispatchers on daily

work assignments.

10. Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle.

11. Other tasks that may be assigned by the head.

COMPETENCY PROFILE

Technical Competencies:

1. Proficient in operating water trucks and water-
spraying attachments.

2. Basic knowledge of vehicle preventive maintenance and daily safety checks.

3. Ability to monitor and record fuel consumption and equipment operating hours.

4. Familiarity with site traffic management plans, dust control measures, and environmental protection practices.

5. Ability to follow dispatch schedules and work instructions.

Non-Technical Competencies:

1. Strong safety mindset and compliance with site
rules and protocols.

2. Reliable, punctual, and disciplined in daily attendance and reporting.

3. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

4. Cooperative and professional in dealing with supervisors, co-workers, and partner contractors.

5. Demonstrates integrity and care in handling company vehicles, water resources, and records.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

1. Education: At least High School Graduate or relevant (preferred but not mandatory)

2. License/Certification:

• Valid Professional Driver's License (Appropriate restriction for truck operation)
• Basic safety training and site orientation (preferred)

3. Experience

• At least 2 years experience driving trucks or heavy vehicles
• Experience in construction, quarry, port, or reclamation sites is an advantage
