WATERWORKS DESIGN ENGINEER (CIVIL)

About the role

Design and engineering professional responsible for water supply systems, water pipelines, and related infrastructure projects. The role involves preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications, developing hydraulic models, and coordinating with clients, authorities, consultants, and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake design and engineering works for water supply systems, water pipelines, and related infrastructure projects
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, specifications, and design submissions
• Develop hydraulic models and perform analysis for water distribution networks
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents, cost estimates, and technical proposals
• Coordinate with clients, authorities, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams
• Review and ensure designs comply with relevant standards, guidelines, and authority requirements
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and provide technical support during project implementation
• Monitor project progress and resolve technical issues related to design and construction

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in water supply, water pipeline, or infrastructure design projects
• Experience in water pipe network design, hydraulic analysis, and infrastructure planning
• Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterGEMS/EPANET
• Knowledge of JKR, SPAN, and relevant water industry standards
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as Graduate Engineer/Professional Engineer preferred
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
