Job Overview:

As a Web and Android App Security Tester at Mobisec Technologies, you will be responsible for conducting both manual and tool-based security testing of web and mobile applications. Your primary focus will be to identify vulnerabilities, particularly those outlined in the OWASP Top 10, and provide actionable recommendations for their remediation.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø Perform comprehensive security testing of web and Android applications using both manual techniques and automated tools.

Ø Identify and report security vulnerabilities, particularly those in the OWASP Top 10, including but not limited to SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF), and Insecure Deserialization.

Ø Collaborate with development teams to understand application functionality and provide security guidance during the software development lifecycle.

Ø Develop and execute security test plans and test cases.

Ø Conduct code reviews to identify security flaws and provide remediation recommendations.

Ø Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.

Ø Prepare detailed reports of findings and suggest effective remediation strategies.

Ø Assist in the development and implementation of security best practices and policies.

Requirements:

Ø 1-2 years of experience in security testing of web and Android applications.

Ø Strong understanding of the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and their remediation techniques.

Ø Proficient in using security testing tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, and others.

Ø Experience with manual testing techniques for identifying security issues.

Ø Knowledge of secure coding practices and common security flaws.

Ø Ability to analyze and interpret security test results and provide actionable recommendations.

Ø Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Ø Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ø Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, or similar are a plus.
