Web Application Security Specialist

General Duties

• Apply system security engineering principles to deliver real solutions premeditated to enhance the security position
• Identify threats and develop suitable defense measures, evaluate system changes for security implications, and recommend enhancements, research, and provide first-class support to the cyber security operations Team for resolving difficult cyber security issues.
• Manage and lead security incident response efforts for all SM Websites.
• Configure Windows and Linux host-based security as well as network and cloud-based security systems
• Support with the installation and configuration of network security architectures, including firewalls, router ACLs (Access Control Lists), web content filters and Demilitarized Zones (DMZ).
• Observe and respond to Intrusion Detection System (IDS) cues and anti-virus alerts.
• Work with the Web Governance Specialist.

Skills Ability to review system changes for security implications and recommending improvements

Understanding of cyber security methodologies

Proficient in PHP,C# .Net. Node.JS, Python, bash and power shell.

Knowledge of technology capabilities and trends; types, and techniques of hacking attacks in the wild

Ability to multi-task

Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering , Information Technology or related fields

Attended programming related classes or courses

Experience Has a working knowledge projects and development

Has at least 2-3 years of experience in identifying threats and developing appropriate protection measures.

Has at least 2 years of experience in building and managing website

Has at least 1 year of experience in project management

Preferably has working experience in real estate, hotels & conventions and the holding company setup

Experience In Leading a Successful Project Is Preferred Responsibility

• To manage and implement a web security solution for all SM Group website.
• To lead the technical design reviews, integration, testing, and documentation work of website security solutions.
• To carry out assessments and penetration testing, managing audit/intrusion and security technology
• Systems, architecture, and engineering/developing websites technology to secure all SM Group website.
• To provide latest technical security advisory to site owner and website developer.
