Web Designer

Duties

• Develop compelling visual UI/UX designs, prototypes, and wireframes that align with project goals and user needs.
• Collaborate with developers to implement responsive web designs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or Angular.
• Create engaging motion graphics, animations, and interactive elements to enhance user engagement.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to refine design solutions and improve overall user experience.
• Maintain and update existing websites using content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal, ensuring optimal performance and accessibility.
• Optimize websites for SEO best practices to increase visibility on search engines.
• Manage website analytics through tools like Google Analytics 360 and Adobe Analytics to inform design improvements.

Skills

• Proficiency in digital design tools including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of web production technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, React, Angular, Node.js, SQL, MySQL, AJAX, SCSS/SASS, Less (style sheet language), and Git version control.
• Experience designing for mobile platforms with responsive web design principles.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and usability best practices to ensure inclusive digital experiences.
• Ability to create prototypes using tools like UXPin, InVision, Balsamiq or Axure for effective stakeholder communication.
• Familiarity with content management systems including WordPress, Drupal, SharePoint, and website management tools like Adobe Dreamweaver or Visual Studio Code.
• Data analysis skills utilizing Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics to evaluate website performance metrics.
• Understanding of digital marketing strategies including email marketing campaigns via Mailchimp or similar platforms.
• Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics 360 to track user behavior and optimize site engagement.
• Strong layout design skills combined with typography expertise tailored for media across various digital channels.

Pay: $10.00 - $50.00 per hour
