Web Designer - Part Time

Job Summary

Phennx is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Part-Time Web Designer to design, develop, and maintain engaging marketing webpages while contributing to the UI/UX of the Phennx application. In this role, you’ll transform ideas into intuitive, visually compelling digital experiences that deliver seamless functionality across devices, enhance search engine visibility, and guide visitors and users toward meaningful actions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain responsive marketing webpages and landing pages, keeping content, layouts, and visual assets accurate and consistent with the brand.
• Apply on-page SEO practices, including page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, image alt text, internal links, and clear page URLs; coordinate technical SEO improvements with developers.
• Improve page speed, mobile usability, accessibility, and conversion paths; use analytics and feedback to guide ongoing improvements.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma for marketing pages and Phennx application screens and user flows.
• Help develop reusable UI components and design patterns that make the application consistent and easy to use.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering to translate requirements into designs, provide clear handoffs, and review implementation quality.
• Use HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript to customize webpages, troubleshoot layout issues, and support simple interactions; test across devices and browsers.

What you bring

• A portfolio showing thoughtful web design, responsive layouts, and UI/UX work, with a clear explanation of your role and design decisions.
• Comfort with Figma for layouts, components, and prototypes, and Framer for building and maintaining published webpages.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, plus basic JavaScript for simple interactions and troubleshooting.
• An understanding of SEO fundamentals, accessibility, visual hierarchy, typography, and user-centered design.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage updates, incorporate feedback, and collaborate with developers.
• Experience with React, usability testing, design systems, CMS workflows, analytics tools, Google Search Console, or landing page experiments.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
