About the role

Milan Insulation serves residential and commercial customers across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, Canada.

We’re looking for one experienced professional to handle both website development and SEO, starting with improving our existing website: milaninsulation.ca.

Your focus will be to improve the website’s appearance, functionality and search visibility, helping turn visitors into customer enquiries. As our businesses expand beyond insulation, the role may include building and managing two to three business websites.

Responsibilities

• Improve website design, navigation, mobile usability, speed and enquiry forms.
• Manage website maintenance, security, backups and technical troubleshooting.
• Develop and implement technical, on-page and local SEO strategies.
• Improve service pages, location pages, content and internal linking.
• Manage Google Business Profile optimisation.
• Develop and evaluate approaches to improving visibility in AI-powered search, including ChatGPT and Gemini.
• Track organic traffic, phone calls, quote requests and other relevant results.
• Provide clear monthly progress reports and recommendations.
• Build and maintain additional business websites as needed.
• Recommend cost-effective hosting, software and tools.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in both web development and SEO.
• Ability to make website changes independently and resolve technical issues.
• Experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and SEO tools.
• Understanding of local search and generating leads for service businesses.
• Familiarity with AI-powered search and methods for evaluating visibility.
• Strong English communication, organisation and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritise work across multiple websites.

WordPress experience and previous work with Canadian or US construction or home service businesses are preferred.

• Have you managed multiple business websites at the same time? Explain how you would organise development, maintenance and SEO across 2–3 websites, and identify any work you would need additional support for.
