This is an in-person position at our Burnaby office.

Role Summary

We’re looking for a driven Web Developer & SEO Specialist who specializes in Shopify to own and scale our online presence across Shopify and marketplaces. This role blends ecommerce operations, digital marketing, and customer engagement, with strong growth potential in a fast-paced environment.

You should be highly organized, tech-savvy, and capable of working independently while executing across multiple areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep website updated, enhance current elements, and add new features
• Manage product listings, content, pricing, and optimization across Shopify & marketplaces
• Conduct competitor analysis and track market trends
• Enhance SEO presence using AI and related tools
• Monitor analytics and provide regular performance reports
• Communicate with customers (quotes, follow-ups, inquiries)
• Maintain brand consistency across all channels

Requirements (WIL Program Eligibility)

• Canadian citizen, PR, or refugee status
• Current post-secondary student

Core Skills

- Website Design & Enhance

• Shopify and marketplace experience strong asset

- Website Design, E-commerce & Tech

• Shopify and marketplace experience strong asset
• Strong computer proficiency (Google Workspace, Canva, analytics tools)
• Experience with SEO, product content, and data management
• Utilizing AI to enhance and automate workflow
• Vibe coding a strong asset

- Marketing & Content

• Social media management and content creation
• Familiarity with Meta, email marketing (Mailchimp), and analytics
• Ability to leverage AI tools for automation and efficiency

- Communication & Operations

• Strong written and verbal communication
• Customer-focused mindset
• Organized, detail-oriented, and self-sufficient

- Assets (not required)

• Experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, or analytics
• Knowledge of outdoor gear or related industry
• Experience with reporting, SEO, and/or campaign management

Compensation & Structure

• Full-time (initial 3-month contract → long-term potential)

Additional Note

High-potential candidates without formal experience may be supported with training and development resources.

Pay: $19.50-$20.50 per hour

Expected hours: 27.0 – 40.0 per week
