VTL Travel is a Singapore-based travel company that operates as the parent brand for a family of niche travel sites, each targeting a distinct segment of the travel market. Under the VTL Travel umbrella sit three focused brands: Holidays From Singapore, which handles leisure travel, nearby getaways, cruises, visa-related services, and corporate trips; Tour Mount Bromo, which specializes in East Java tours covering Mount Bromo, Ijen, waterfalls, and private tour packages; and Batam Ferry Tickets, which focuses on Singapore-to-Batam ferry ticket bookings and promotions.

About the role

We're looking for a hands-on web developer to maintain and grow bintanferrytickets.com — a custom built site — and to build and manage the API integrations that power our booking, payment, and ferry booking API features. This is a practical, execution-focused role: keeping the site fast, secure, and bug-free, while connecting it reliably to the third-party systems our bookings depend on.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot website, including API Updates and theme updates, performance tuning, and uptime/security monitoring
• Fix bugs, broken forms, layout issues, and mobile responsiveness problems as they arise
• Implement design and content changes from the marketing team without breaking page speed or SEO structure
• Manage staging-to-live deployment workflow to avoid downtime on a revenue-generating site
• Build and maintain the integration between the site and the ferry ticketing/booking system (availability, pricing, seat/ticket confirmation)
• Develop and maintain the hotel-booking module integration for combined ferry+hotel packages (hotel supplier or OTA API/feed)
• Maintain the payment gateway integration (HitPay or Airwallex) and troubleshoot failed or stuck transactions
• Connect and maintain WhatsApp Business API or click-to-WhatsApp flows for enquiry handling
• Set up and maintain GA4 and Google Ads conversion tracking (events, server-side tagging where needed) so booking data flows correctly for marketing reporting
• Handle webhook endpoints and scheduled sync jobs (e.g. inventory/price sync) reliably, with logging and error alerts

About you

• 2+ years of experience Web Developer (PHP, custom functions, child themes, Payment Gateway Integration)
• Proven experience integrating REST/SOAP APIs, handling JSON, authentication (API keys, OAuth), and webhooks
• Good Practical skillset in API integration
• Experience with payment gateway integrations (HitPay, Stripe, PayNow, or similar)
• Comfortable working with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads conversion tracking
• Solid understanding of website security (SSL, backups, firewall rules, malware cleanup)
• Familiar with git-based deployment workflows and staging environments
• Able to debug independently and document fixes clearly
