Web Developer

The role

First Page Digital is hiring an AI Developer to build the internal tools, agents and automations our SEO team uses every day. You will turn manual SEO work (audits, research, content briefs, reporting) into reliable software that saves consultants hours each week.

What you will do

• Build and maintain AI tools and agents that automate SEO workflows: technical audits, keyword research, content briefs and client reporting.
• Integrate LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude and others) into production workflows, with sound prompt design, output evaluation and cost control.
• Connect our data sources through APIs and MCP servers, including Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog and Firecrawl.
• Develop new features for our internal SEO automation platform, from scoping to deployment.
• Build scrapers, data pipelines and dashboards that feed client reporting.
• Implement technical SEO changes on client websites when needed: schema markup, redirects and performance fixes.
• Document every tool and train SEO consultants to use it, then track adoption and time saved.

What you bring

• 2 to 4 years of professional software development experience, with tools you built running in production.
• Strong Python and working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience shipping features on LLM APIs: prompting, structured outputs and tool calling.
• Solid grasp of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, SQL and Git.
• Daily use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Cursor.
• The ability to turn a loosely defined business need into a working tool, and to explain it to non-technical colleagues.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience in SEO, digital marketing or an agency environment.
• Building or integrating MCP servers and agent frameworks.
• Web scraping at scale with tools such as Playwright or Firecrawl.
• Front-end and CMS work on WordPress, Shopify or a headless CMS.
• Cloud deployment and containers (AWS, GCP or Vercel; Docker).
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin)
