Web Developer / Web & Technology Executive

Key Responsibilities

• WordPress Website Development
• Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites.
• Develop new websites, landing pages, service pages, and campaign pages.
• Manage themes, plugins, forms, menus, and website content structures.
• Customize Elementor or similar page builders where appropriate.
• Troubleshoot website errors, plugin conflicts, and compatibility issues.
• Maintain website security, backups, updates, and access controls.
• Shopify & E-commerce Management
• Manage and maintain Shopify stores.
• Customize themes, templates, sections, and storefront layouts.
• Manage product listings, collections, navigation, and storefront functionality.
• Troubleshoot checkout, payment gateway, app, and integration issues.
• Implement tracking pixels, conversion events, and analytics integrations.
• Support landing page improvements, mobile usability, and conversion rate optimization.
• Coordinate with marketing teams on promotions, campaigns, and website requirements.
• Programming & Software Development
• Develop and maintain website functionality using appropriate programming languages and frameworks.
• Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and relevant database technologies.
• Integrate APIs, third-party tools, forms, CRMs, analytics platforms, and other business systems.
• Write clean, maintainable code and document important changes.
• Identify technical issues and implement reliable solutions rather than relying exclusively on plugins.
• Accounts Management Software
• Maintain the existing internally developed accounts management software.
• Review the existing application's codebase, architecture, database, and integrations.
• Coordinate with the remote developer who originally developed the software to understand the system and its dependencies.
• Troubleshoot bugs and implement approved fixes and enhancements.
• Maintain backups, access permissions, documentation, and version control where available.
• Support integrations, reports, and data flows as required.
• Escalate complex issues to the original developer or an appropriate specialist when necessary.
• Technical SEO & Website Performance
• Improve website loading speed, mobile usability, and Core Web Vitals.
• Implement approved technical SEO recommendations from the SEO Executive.
• Configure redirects, canonical tags, structured data, XML sitemaps, and related technical elements when required.
• Resolve broken links, indexing-related technical issues, and website errors.
• Ensure analytics, Google Tag Manager, GA4, Meta Pixel, and conversion tracking are implemented correctly.
• Coordinate testing before deploying website changes.
• Security, Maintenance & Documentation
• Perform routine website updates, backups, and security checks.
• Implement role-based access and secure credential management.
• Monitor uptime, broken functionality, and integration failures.
• Document technical configurations, deployments, fixes, and system dependencies.
• Test changes in a staging environment where possible before production deployment.
• Internal Coordination
• Report directly to the Head of Digital Marketing & Growth.
• Coordinate with the SEO Executive on technical SEO priorities.
• Work with the Social & Content team on landing pages, forms, and campaign requirements.
• Coordinate with external developers, hosting providers, and software vendors when needed.
• Prioritize requests based on business impact, urgency, and technical complexity.
• Required Technical Skills
• Essential
• Practical WordPress development and maintenance experience.
• Hands-on Shopify management and theme customization experience.
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
• MySQL or comparable relational database knowledge.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, and debugging.
• Knowledge of website security, backups, performance optimization, and responsive design.
• Ability to understand and maintain an existing codebase.
• Familiarity with Git or another version-control system.
• Preferred
• WooCommerce experience.
• Experience with Shopify Liquid.
• Familiarity with hosting environments, DNS, SSL, cPanel, and deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of GA4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, and conversion tracking.
• Experience with CRM or accounts management software.
• Familiarity with modern development frameworks and AI-assisted coding tools.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Timely delivery of approved website development tasks.
• Website uptime, functionality, security, and maintenance compliance.
• Improvements in website speed and Core Web Vitals where technically achievable.
• Resolution time for high-priority technical issues.
• Reliability of tracking, integrations, forms, and checkout functionality.
• Successful maintenance and documented handover of the accounts management software.
• Quality of code, documentation, testing, and deployment practices.
• Responsiveness to SEO and marketing development requirements.

Pay: Rs80,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
