Web Developer (WordPress)

Location: Lancashire | 2 days per week in the office

We're looking for a creative WordPress Developer to join an Award-Winning Digital Agency.

This is an opportunity for a developer who cares about the details, enjoys building great websites and can bring ideas to life through a combination of design and development.

You'll need to be comfortable working independently as well as collaborating with the wider team, communicating clearly and bringing a positive attitude to the role.

What you'll bring

• Experience developing WordPress websites using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and MySQL.
• Experience using Figma to create mockups and interactive prototypes.
• A solid understanding of Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and building flexible, scalable content structures.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• A good understanding of web accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks and tools such as Bootstrap, Tailwind, SCSS and Alpine.js.

What would be a bonus?

• Server knowledge.
• Experience using AI tools to support coding.
• Bespoke WordPress plugin development.
• An understanding of SEO, content strategy and digital marketing principles.

The person we're looking for

Technical ability is important, but so is the person behind it. You'll be creative, detail-oriented, organised and a clear communicator. You'll be equally comfortable getting your head down and working independently as you are collaborating with others.

Above all, you'll have good values and a positive attitude — and know how to have fun along the way.

It is hybrid, 2x a week in Rossendale Lancashire and the salary is up to £40,000, with a good benefits package.
