Role Overview

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Web Development Tutor to deliver engaging on-site classes. In this role, you will guide students through the fundamentals and practical applications of frontend development, Linux environment management, and SQL database systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Instruction & Mentorship: Conduct interactive, on-site lectures, workshops, and practical sessions for students at various skill levels.
• Syllabus Execution: Teach the assigned curriculum covering:
• Frontend Web Development: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), modern responsive design, and frontend frameworks/libraries.
• Linux Essentials: Basic command-line interface (CLI) tools, file management, permissions, and fundamental server administration tasks.
• SQL & Database Management: Relational database concepts, writing optimized SQL queries, CRUD operations, joins, and basic schema design.
• Project Support: Mentor students on real-world practical projects, helping them build portfolio-ready web applications.
• Student Assessment: Review student assignments, grade projects, provide constructive feedback, and offer extra support to struggling learners.
• Course Enhancement: Collaborate with the team to regularly update class materials, practical labs, and assessments to keep pace with industry standards.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

• Experience: 2–3 years of practical experience in web development, technical training, or an IT instruction role.
• Frontend Proficiency: Solid grasp of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), Git, and modern web layout techniques (Flexbox, Grid).
• Linux Expertise: Comfortable navigating and teaching the Linux CLI, file systems, user management, and core bash commands.
• SQL Mastery: Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and proficiency in writing queries, joins, and handling schema structures.
• Teaching & Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to break down complex technical concepts into accessible, easy-to-understand lessons.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

• Background or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical work experience).
• Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience in a boot camp, academy, or institute setting.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular).
