Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Web Services Administrator will administer and maintain web services hosted at all overseas locations that are used to host customer applications and reports. This ensures we deliver web operations that support the customer’s mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise wide. The customer currently uses various tools to support web service automation, maintenance, monitoring, and development tasks.

Responsibilities:

• You will perform ongoing operation, maintenance, and support of these web services.
• These services include (but not limited to) Configuration Management and Change Control, patch management, security updates, and vulnerability remediation.
• You will also provide Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security certificate management and renewal.
• Your duties also include updating and managing backup, recovery, and DR procedures.
• You will also perform incident response and troubleshooting.
• The Web Services Administrator will also conduct capacity planning and scalability management.
• Additionally, you will document all configurations, procedures, and changes.
• You will also coordinate with overseas post personnel and relevant Government stakeholders.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The following are the education and experience required for this position:

• 5+ years
• Bachelor's in IT or related field
• Secret Security Clearance

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Comp TIA Sec+, ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

• • Sitting for long periods
  • Standing for long periods
  • Ambulate throughout an office
  • Ambulate between several buildings
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
  • Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 40 pounds
  • Travel by land or air transportation up to 25%
