What they need
Auckland Based | Full Time or Permanent Part Time | Hybrid Potential
We’re looking for a commercially minded Website & Content Manager to join our Auckland marketing team.
The role is focused on managing and improving our websites, creating strong digital graphics, writing persuasive sales copy, email marketing and managing social media content.
This is not a programming or web development role. This is primarily focused on creating graphics and written copy to be used on our website and email marketing channels.
You’ll need to be someone who can see what needs improving and get it done.
If a product page has low quality content, incorrect image, weak sales messaging or outdated content, we would ideally love you to fix it without needing to be told - or handheld through the process.
Likewise, if we’re running a promotion, you should be comfortable designing a professional homepage banner, writing the headline and sales copy, preparing the graphics and then uploading the finished content to the website.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain website content across our eCommerce websites.
- Create and upload homepage banners, promotional graphics and landing page content.
- Write strong sales copy, product descriptions, headlines, value propositions and calls to action
- Review existing website content and proactively improve poor descriptions, imagery and presentation
- Upload new products, images, descriptions and categories through our website CMS
- Build and send email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp, Klaviyo or similar platforms
- Create graphics and written content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other social channels
- Schedule and publish social media content
- Help plan product launches, promotions and marketing campaigns
- Work with our web development team when technical changes are required
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Strong graphic design skills, particularly Adobe Photoshop
- Strong sales copywriting and marketing messaging ability
- Experience managing or updating website content
- Confidence using website content management systems
- Experience with Mailchimp, Klaviyo or similar email marketing software
- Experience creating and publishing business social media content
- Strong written English
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of your area
- Be AI capable to assist you with tasks wherever possible while ensuring quality.
Highly Regarded:
- Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or Figma hard skills
- eCommerce or B2B marketing experience
- Basic SEO knowledge a big benefit
- UX, UI or conversion optimisation experience
- Broader marketing strategy and commercial experience
- Experience with Mailchimp
- Experience with Magento
Experience with Magento 2 would be a major advantage, however we’re happy to consider someone who has strong skills and the willingness and ability to quickly learn our CMS.
What A Typical Day Might Look Like
Morning: Review products on the website, correct poor descriptions or images, upload new products and improve how existing products are presented.
Midday: Create a homepage banner for a new promotion, including the design, sales messaging and call to action, then upload it to the website.
Afternoon: Build an email campaign promoting the offer and prepare matching social media graphics and copy for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
We’re looking for someone who can handle both the creative side of marketing and the practical side of getting content live.
